About Zamenhof River Cabin

Our Story

Zamenhof River Cabin is a secluded riverside escape nestled on a private working farm along the Yass River, just 1 hour from Canberra and 15 minutes from Yass township in New South Wales, Australia.

The cabin was born from a simple dream — to create a place where people could truly disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with nature, with each other, and with themselves. Set on a beautiful working farm with horses, sheep, and native wildlife, guests wake up to birdsong, stargaze under the Milky Way, kayak the Yass River, and gather around a campfire under impossibly dark skies.

Zamenhof is lovingly hosted by Jen & Richard, who live on the property and take pride in creating a warm, personal experience for every guest. From the fully equipped kitchen and outdoor BBQ to the fast WiFi and cosy air conditioning, every detail has been thoughtfully considered so you arrive, relax, and don't worry about a thing.

The cabin is perfect for couples seeking a romantic weekend away, friends wanting a nature escape, remote workers looking for a change of scenery, and families (pets very much included — dogs and cats are welcome inside!). Rated 9.3 out of 10 on Booking.com with over 100 groups hosted, Zamenhof has become a beloved retreat for guests from across Australia and around the world.

This booking website is built and maintained by Jen & Richard to allow guests to book directly — saving on platform fees and ensuring a personal, hassle-free experience from first enquiry to final farewell.
